In the first half of the 2023 year, the total value of our country’s imports and exports of goods reached 20.1016 billion yuan, up 2.1% year-on-year, of which exports increased by 3.7% . Our country’s industrial system is complete and complete, the ability of industrial organization and supply chain is strong, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of foreign trade.
In the first half of the year, our country’s traditional export products continue to grow, of which, the export value of mechanical and electrical products increased by 6.3% year on year. China is determined to open wider to the outside world, expand economic and trade exchanges with other countries on the basis of mutual benefit and win-win results, promote the joint construction of “Belt and Road zones”, advance the building of free trade areas, and expand the space for foreign trade growth. In the first half, our imports and exports to the “Belt and Road” countries rose by 9.8 per cent, to 10.5 per cent for Africa and 7 per cent for Latin . New growth areas of foreign trade were gradually formed.
With the industrial upgrading development of our country, the competitiveness of new products market has been steadily promoted, which has become a new bright spot to promote the growth of foreign trade. At the same time, the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce and other new forms of foreign trade, but also for foreign trade quality and capacity to create favorable conditions.
