According to Zhejiang China Commodities City Group Co., Ltd., on May 10, the Yiwu Import Commodity City Incubation Zone set up an exhibition area in Hall 1 of the first China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF). Thirteen business entities exhibited the imported products from many countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, Thailand, Pakistan, and Turkey, attracting many international brands that are preparing to enter the Chinese market.
“Many small and medium-sized European brands are eager to enter China, but they don’t understand the Chinese market. Therefore, matchmakers need to bridge the gap between the two sides,” said the director of the Yiwu Import Commodity City Incubation Zone. As the small commodities capital of the world, Yiwu is fully leveraging its strengths to introduce daily necessities from around the world into the Chinese market and is striving to be an important distribution center of imported daily necessities and a cross-border import e-commerce base.
In the exhibition area of the Incubation Zone, the staff warmly received exhibitors and business representatives who came for investment consultation and introduced Yiwu’s import market and related investment policies. The cosmetics, handicrafts, daily necessities, etc. displayed in the exhibition area attract many buyers, and more than 200 orders were made on the first day of the exhibition, including both on-site transactions and purchase intention agreements.
“Through this exhibition, we will improve the Yiwu import market, the related policies, and the import business of the Commodities City Group. In addition, we will promote Yiwu’s new import market projects to attract more import companies and brands,” said the director of the Yiwu Import Commodity City Incubation Zone.
The exhibition area of the CICGF covers an area of 80,000 square meters, of which the international exhibition area is 60,000 sq. m., including five major exhibition areas: fashion, jewelry and diamonds, high-end healthy foods, traveling and residential life, and comprehensive services. 630 companies and 1,165 brands from 69 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. As one of the import platforms, the Commodities City Group appeared in the exhibition hall, displaying and promoting Yiwu’s import trade, new import markets, and ICMall, the local import platform. During the exhibition, the Commodities City Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hainan Kunmu Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.
